We are seeking a proactive Cost Controller at the Sky Catering branch of Aviation Services Group to play a pivotal role in our finance team. The role focuses on analyzing, monitoring and controlling costs across food production, service provision, procurement and operations to maximize efficiency.
Job Description:
- Track, analyze and reconcile direct and indirect costs (food, labour, packaging, transport, utilities).
- Investigate and explain cost variances; recommend corrective actions and cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, analyze shrinkage and adjust controls.
- Participate in inventory counts as a Finance Department representative as a point of control;
- Collaborate with procurement, production and operations to optimize purchasing, waste reduction and production efficiency.
- Implement and enforce internal controls and SOPs related to costing and stock handling.
- Maintain cost records and reconcile with accounting data.
- Prepare monthly cost reports (material usage, purchase price changes etc).
- Contribute to the analysis of material consumption and cost formulation.
- Support month-end closing process with cost-related reconciliations and input to accounting.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant field (MBA is an advantage);
- Progress in relevant certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, FMVA) is an advantage;
- 1-3 years of experience in hospitality, F&B, FMCG or relevant industries;
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel;
- Proactiveness, confidence and flexibility skills;
- Working experience with accounting or ERP software;
- Good knowledge of English language;
- Effective both as an individual and a team player;
- Ability to manage and lead multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working conditions:
- In accordance with the Labour Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
- Job Location: Baku, Heydar Aliyev International Airport area.
- Work Schedule: Full-time (5 days per week from 09:00 till 18:00).
- The company daily provides free service transportations from/to different locations (such as, Koroglu m/s, Bakikhanov, Amirdjan, Mardakan, Bina, Surakhani and so on).
- Salary range is 1,200-1,500 AZN NET.
