We are seeking an experienced Leading Accountant at the Sky Catering branch of Aviation Services Group to strengthen our reporting team. This position will take active role in financial analysis, monthly reporting, and supporting overall decision making and business growth.

Job Description:

• Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition based on flight activity, uplifted meals, airline contracts, menu cycles, and pricing structures.
• Review COGS and inventory accounting processes, including recipe-based consumption logic, yield analysis, cost roll-ups, and stock valuation for reporting purposes.
• Drive detailed Gross Margin analysis by airline, route, class, and product category, identifying profitability drivers and risks.
• Lead variance analysis across revenue, consumption, material costs, stock counts, and operating expenses, providing clear executive-level commentary.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate cut-offs, accruals, reconciliations, and inventory closing.
• Partner closely with Operations, Production and Procurement teams to align financial reporting with operational realities.
• Take active part in budgeting and forecasting processes, incorporating flight schedules, volume projections, and efficiency targets.
• Actively contribute to ERP optimization and reporting automation initiatives.
• Support senior management with high-level financial analysis and performance reporting.
• Mentor and supervise accounting team members, ensuring high standards of reporting quality and compliance.

Requirements:

• Min. Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance (MBA is an advantage);
• Progress in relevant certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, FMVA) is an advantage;
• Min. 2-3 years relevant experience in Finance;
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel;
• Working experience with SQL and PowerBI is an advantage;
• Proactiveness, confidence and flexibility skills;
• Working experience with accounting (1C, SAP and others) or ERP software;
• Good knowledge of English language;
• Effective both as an individual and a team player;
• Ability to manage and lead multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working conditions:

• In accordance with the Labour Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
• Job Location: Baku, Heydar Aliyev International Airport area.
• Salary range: 1700-2300 AZN nett.
• Work Schedule: Full-time (5 days per week from 09:00 till 18:00).
• The company daily provides free service transportations from/to different locations (such as, Koroglu m/s, Bakikhanov, Amirdjan, Mardakan, Bina, Surakhani and so on).
