The European Azerbaijan School (EAS) is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and motivated DP Psychology and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Teacher who has the ability to engage, enthuse, and inspire students in a supportive and caring learning environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, prepare, and deliver a high-quality curriculum for IB Diploma Programme Psychology and TOK in line with IB standards and philosophy;
  • Ensure lessons are well-structured and differentiated to meet the needs of all learners;
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate students’ progress, providing timely feedback and clear targets to support continuous improvement;
  • Liaise with the Curriculum Leader and IB Coordinators to ensure effective delivery of the DP curriculum, including resource selection and classroom management;
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, research, reflection, and academic writing skills required for DP internal and external assessments;
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary planning and collaboration, particularly supporting links between TOK and DP subject areas;
  • Assume responsibility for the pastoral care of students, with particular attention to personal development, wellbeing, and child protection;
  • Communicate accurately, professionally, and regularly with parents regarding student progress;
  • Participate actively in school life, professional development activities, and IB training.

Requirements:

  • Higher education in Psychology or a related field, preferably with a Master’s degree;
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB World School;
  • Proven experience teaching IB DP Psychology and Theory of Knowledge;
  • Strong understanding of IB assessment criteria, internal assessments, and DP core requirements;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership;
  • Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learning needs;
  • Excellent knowledge of computer office applications, particularly Google Workspace (G Suite), and effective integration of technology into teaching and learning;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; 
  • Good knowledge of English (Cambridge equivalent of C1 or above).
