Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of structural steel, metal fabrication, and erection processes
  • Ability to read, interpret, and review engineering drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ISO, EN, BS, AISC)
  • Understanding of welding procedures, materials, and quality requirements

 Project & Construction Management

  • Planning and scheduling skills (fabrication, delivery, and site installation)
  • Risk identification and problem-solving in live construction environments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with cost control, productivity tracking, and resource allocation

 Leadership & People Management

  • Strong supervisory and team leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate, mentor, and develop engineers, supervisors, and foremen
  • Conflict resolution and decision-making under pressure
  • Delegation and performance management skills

 Quality & HSE Awareness

  • Solid understanding of QA/QC systems and inspection processes
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Ability to enforce safe work practices and lead by example
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and method statement reviews

Communication & Coordination

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills for progress and performance updates
  • Cross-functional coordination with engineering, procurement, and planning teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Department in planning, coordinating, and overseeing all metal construction activities.
  • Ensure projects are executed in line with approved designs, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Act as Department Head in their absence, with full operational authority.
  • Oversee fabrication, erection, and installation works for metal structures.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors.
  • ​​​​​​​Review engineering drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to engineering and site teams.
  • Ensure implementation of quality management systems and inspection plans.
  • Address non-conformities and drive continuous improvement in workmanship and processes.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams and external inspectors as required.
  • Enforce HSE policies and safe working practices across all department activities.
  • Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within workshops and construction sites.
  • ​​​​​​​Assist in manpower planning, skills allocation, and productivity optimization.
  • Oversee use and maintenance of equipment, tools, and fabrication facilities.
  • Support procurement planning for materials and subcontracted services.
  • Monitor departmental costs and assist in budget control.
  • Review material usage, wastage, and productivity reports.
  • Support estimation and tendering activities with technical input when required.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Support progress meetings and technical discussions with stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely communication of risks, changes, and project updates.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate engineers, supervisors, and foremen.
  • Identify training needs and support skills development within the department.
  • Contribute to performance reviews and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Prepare and review departmental reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Drive improvements in productivity, quality, safety, and delivery processes.
  • Support implementation of new technologies, systems, or best practices.

Location: Bayıl
Working Schedule:
      • Mon–Fri: 07:15 – 17:00
      • Saturday: 07:15 – 15:30
