Position Overview
- The Mechanical Engineer for Maintenance and Repair is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted, efficient, and safe operation of all power systems, energy centers, machinery, and devices within the organization. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, installation of new equipment, resource management, compliance with legal and safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position also involves workforce planning, subcontractor coordination, and supporting company-wide energy management and efficiency programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor periodic maintenance and control plans for power centers, machinery, and devices.
- Perform functional tests as per procedures and ensure corrective, preventive, and improvement actions are executed.
- Coordinate and fulfill malfunction/work requests for all equipment under responsibility.
- Oversee and carry out installation and commissioning of newly purchased machines, devices, and energy center equipment.
- Archive and maintain technical documentation such as catalogues, manuals, and programs.
- Plan, procure, and monitor spare parts and consumables required for maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure availability and efficient use of electricity, water, fuel, natural gas, diesel, and other operational resources.
- Analyze and optimize energy consumption and expenses to improve efficiency and achieve savings.
- Create and monitor shift schedules for employees in power centers and maintenance units.
- Plan and deliver training programs to enhance employee competencies in equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.
- Ensure all activities comply with legal legislation, company policies, and occupational safety standards.
- Supervise employees to maintain safe working practices and act as a role model for safety culture.
- Provide support during external audits conducted by regulatory authorities.
- Lead improvement projects to extend equipment life, enhance reliability, and increase operational efficiency.
- Ensure subcontractor activities are carried out under company rules and legal regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractor work when necessary to maintain quality and compliance.
- Contribute to activities within the Maintenance, Repair, and Infrastructure Department as needed.
- Collaborate across departments to meet operational and development expectations aligned with company interests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in maintenance and operation of power centers, machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of project management, scheduling, and procurement coordination processes.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise workforce activities effectively.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to train and guide employees.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, documentation and coordination skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, operational safety, and efficiency.
- English – advanced level, Russian – preferred, Turkish is an advantage.
