About the Job:
- To evaluate occupational health, safety, and environmental practices within the workplace, ensure full compliance with applicable legislation and internal standards, and report findings and improvement actions to the Occupational Safety, Process and Environment Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with occupational health and safety legislation and company safety rules
- Identify risks, recommend preventive and corrective actions, and monitor implementation
- Investigate work accidents, near misses, and occupational diseases; develop preventive action plans to eliminate recurrence
- Participate in risk assessment studies and follow up on mitigation measures
- Plan and monitor workplace surveillance, environmental measurements, and periodic controls
- Contribute to emergency preparedness planning (fire, explosion, natural disasters) and monitor drills and training
- Support the planning and delivery of occupational health and safety trainings
- Participate in the preparation of annual OHS evaluation reports and annual work plans
- Prepare and monitor OHS procedures, instructions, and work permit systems
- Organize OHS meetings, track decisions, and support employee representatives
- Provide OHS input in ongoing and planned projects
- Review subcontractor risk assessments and periodic equipment control reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (4-year university degree)
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or legally required Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate
- Proficient written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience aligned with industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
