About the job

• The Production Planning Engineer is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient production planning, material requirement management, and coordination of internal and external manufacturing operations. This role includes preparing production schedules, monitoring resource utilization, supporting supply chain activities, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and company objectives.
• This role is primarily planning- and analysis-oriented, with close coordination with production, logistics, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• The responsibilities below focus on production and supply planning activities, with operational follow-up to ensure alignment between plans and execution.
• Prepare budgetary and annual production plans based on customer demand (MDS: Master Demand Schedule).
• Analyze and report resource requirements (technicians, machinery) on production lines according to internal production route durations.
• Create material requirement plans (MRP) aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Open purchasing requests (materials/external work orders) through the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software according to material requirement plans.
• Ensure logistics operations technicians open and close work orders in accordance with internal production plans.
• Monitor and report on supply plans for subcontractors and partner companies, tracking compliance with agreed deadlines.
• Review subcontractor capacity analysis when necessary and ensure compliance with internal production schedules.
• Prioritize and coordinate source conflicts and inspections at input/source points in external production processes.
• Monitor periodic production and supply plan realizations, report deviations, and ensure targets are met.
• Participate in ECO (Engineering Change Order) approvals, warehouse count coordination, project production monitoring, budget material preparation, and continuous improvement initiatives, including ERP system upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum 2–4 years experience in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
• Experience with ERP systems and production planning software (preferred)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to monitor production workflows, coordinate with internal and external teams, and report effectively
• Knowledge of MRP, MDS, and MPS principles
• Ability to participate in continuous improvement initiatives and system implementation
• English – advanced; Turkish – desirable
