About the role:

Bahar Energy Operating Company (BEOC), a SOCAR Group entity, is seeking an Instrumentation & Automation Engineer to ensure the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of instrumentation, control, and automation systems installed at compressor stations and oil and gas transportation facilities. The role is responsible for maintaining measurement accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with applicable technical standards, regulatory requirements, and HSE policies.

Key accountabilities:

• Ensure proper operation, calibration, and metrological control of instrumentation devices, including pressure, temperature, level, flow, and analytical measurement instruments.
• Monitor and support the operation of instrumentation and automation systems at compressor stations and oil and gas transmission facilities.
• Operate, maintain, and provide technical support for SCADA systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in instrumentation and automation systems and support corrective actions.
• Perform planned maintenance, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities in accordance with approved schedules.
• Ensure functional integrity of fire detection, safety, and automation systems.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of contractor companies providing field services.
• Prepare, maintain, and update technical documentation, drawings, schematics, and reports.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements, company procedures, and applicable regulatory and technical standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Automation, Metrology, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in instrumentation and automation systems.
• Experience in compressor stations and oil and gas transportation facilities is an advantage.
• Strong practical knowledge of instrumentation and automation systems.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical and signal diagrams.
• Strong analytical thinking, sense of responsibility, and safety-oriented mindset.
