Operations Manager (Agricultural Marketplace)

Operations Manager (Agricultural Marketplace)

  • Deadline 3 İyul 2026

Are you ready to shape the future of agricultural trade in Azerbaijan? We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our dynamic team — a digital marketplace connecting farmers, buyers, and the agri-supply chain across the country!

Job Summary: As Operations Manager, you will own end-to-end operational execution of the platform — from farmer onboarding and tender management to buyer relations and logistics coordination. Over time, you will grow into a hybrid operations-product role: working closely with the founding team, you will be mentored in product management and take on increasing responsibility for shaping platform features based on real field insights. This role requires strong organizational skills, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to work effectively across field and digital channels.

Our Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field;
  • You have grown up around farming, come from a farming family, or have worked closely with farmers — you understand their language, their seasonal rhythms, and their challenges firsthand;
  • 3 years of experience in operations, field sales, rural outreach, supply chain, or marketplace management;
  • Strong organizational and process-building skills with attention to detail;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle — regular site visits to farms and regional locations are a core part of this role;
  • Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English (both required); Russian is a plus;
  • Experience with digital tools (CRM, spreadsheets, or marketplace platforms) preferred;
  • Proactive, self-driven attitude with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with farmers and buyers on a daily basis — managing relationships, resolving issues, and ensuring both sides of the marketplace are active and engaged;
  • Conduct regular site visits to farms and buyer locations using your personal vehicle, building trust and gathering on-the-ground insights;
  • Analyze user behavior and platform activity (listings, bids, transaction rates) to identify trends and improvement opportunities;
  • Develop and maintain a detailed seasonal calendar for all major fruits and vegetables — knowing when each product peaks, when supply shifts, and planning platform activity accordingly;
  • Proactively reach out to farmers ahead of harvest seasons to ensure timely listing of produce and readiness for buyer demand;
  • Lead onboarding of new farmers and buyers onto the platform, ensuring complete and accurate profiles;
  • Monitor operational KPIs and prepare weekly reports for the leadership team;
  • Collaborate with the product team to relay field feedback and drive platform improvements based on real user needs;
  • Gather needs and feedback directly from farmers, buyers, and internal stakeholders — structure them into clear requirements and work with the development team to prioritize and deliver platform improvements;
  • Receive structured mentorship in product management from senior team members, with a clear growth path toward owning product decisions for the platform.
