We’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst who can go beyond just documentation — someone who can challenge and shape solutions within a complex SaaS platform. You’ll work on CenataSure, helping translate business needs into clear, workable solutions that actually get delivered right first time.
This isn’t a passive BA role. You’ll be expected to ask questions, push back when needed, and bring structure into a fast-moving environment. You’ll have real ownership of how requirements are defined and how solutions are shaped, with exposure to both product and architectural decisions.
Location: Baku (with possible travel to London / client sites)
Responsibilities:
- Own requirements analysis and functional specifications across the platform
- Translate business needs into detailed, clear, structured, and testable outputs
- Define solutions with developers and architects
- Challenge stakeholders to get to real requirements, not assumptions
- Investigate issues and carry out reverse analysis of existing functionality
- Support estimation and planning with well-defined scope
- Work closely with Product and Implementation teams to keep delivery aligned
- Help improve how requirements are defined and delivered over time
Requirements:
- Solid experience as a Business Analyst in software delivery
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, sometimes unclear environment
- Analytical and logical thinking, ability to structure problems
- Ability to communicate requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in writing detailed functional specifications, not just high-level user stories
- Ability to analyse and structure unstructured information into logical algorithms and process flows
- Attention to details with a focus on completeness and consistency of documentation
- Confidence to challenge stakeholders constructively
- Experience investigating issues and understanding how systems behave
- Strong knowledge of SQL or data analysis
- Good understanding of SDLC
- Re/insurance experience is useful but not essential
- Strong English and Russian, written and spoken, are required
- Requirements and analysis are clear, complete, and don’t need constant rework
- Developers understand what to build without chasing clarification
- Fewer gaps between expectation and delivered functionality
- You bring structure where things are unclear
