As an Expert Data Platform Engineer will collaborate with Machine Learning and AI Engineers, Data Engineers and BI Engineers and Analysts to understand their technical requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data platform solutions. The best candidate’s expertise in DevOps, DataOps and DBA will be essential in building, maintaining and upgrading Enterprise Data Platform components.

Job responsibilities:

• Participate in designing, building, managing our modern on-premises, hybrid and cloud data infrastructure.
• Participate in implementing monitoring, alerting and automation solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of the Enterprise Data Platform. 
• Performance tuning and architectural optimization of Enterprise Data Platform computational components and data storage engines. 
• Participate in implementing data security best practices AAA, encryption and other security methods to protect sensitive information. 
• Collaborate with data engineering / Ops teams to design and maintain robust data pipelines. 
• Participate in implementing and using  CI/CD practices
• Utilize Kubernetes and containerization for software deployment. 
• Work with business stakeholders to define requirements and create design documents for features and services. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, data science, and vendors. 
• Provide access management support (user access, platform, application, API’s).  

Job requirements:

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or relevant field
• Preferably at least 1 years of experience in similar roles (DevOps, DataOps and DBA). 
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database administration (PostgreSQL, MS SQL,  Trino)
• Experience with Data Lakehouse on-premises, hybrid and cloud data infrastructure. 
• Experience with Linux and bash scripting 
• Experience with DevOps tools 
• Fluent Azeri and English.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible 
• Set up metrics, logs, and traces using Prometheus, Grafana
• Expertise in Python 
• Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for code management and collaboration, deployment of CI/CD pipelines 
• Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes 
• Teamwork 
• Problem-solving attitude
