Location: Remote work with frequent travel to supplier locations

Office: located in Baku Azerbaijan, ISR Plaza, 16th floor

Overview: Procurement team are responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with seafood and meat suppliers in Europe, Dubai, and Japan. Identify, evaluate, and onboard seafood and meat suppliers in Europe, Dubai, and Japan. Develop strong partnerships with kitchen equipment manufacturers in China. Maintain a database of approved suppliers and continuously seek new sourcing opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ideal candidate needs to ensure all seafood, meat, and kitchen equipment meet quality standards, monitor supplier compliance with food safety, environmental, and trade regulations. Conduct regular audits and factory visits to assess supplier capabilities. Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics partners for smooth shipments. Manage import/export documentation and customs clearance processes. Monitor supply chain risks and develop contingency plans. Stay updated on global seafood, meat, and kitchen equipment market trends. Research new products, innovations, and pricing strategies to enhance procurement efficiency. Provide periodic reports on supplier performance and market conditions. Work closely with internal sales, warehouse, and finance teams to align procurement strategies.
  • Provide regular procurement reports, including cost analysis and supplier evaluations. Recommend process improvements to streamline procurement operations.
  • Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience working with international suppliers, preferably in the fish, seafood, meat, or kitchen equipment industries.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, import/export processes, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Chinese, Japanese, or Arabic is a plus).
  • Willingness to travel for supplier visits and trade shows.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CIPS certification is mandatory.
