Overall Objective
- To ensure accurate and timely financial reporting by managing core accounting activities, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting informed decision-making. The role also contributes to strong financial controls, efficient processes, and key activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and audits.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal postings, accruals, and reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Support month-end and year-end closing, including preparation of trial balances and supporting schedules
- Prepare periodic financial statements and internal management reports
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules, and support capital expenditure tracking
- Ensure compliance with tax filings and statutory reporting requirements, liaising with auditors and authorities
- Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor transactions, investigate discrepancies, and maintain proper financial documentation
- Support audits and contribute to improvements in accounting systems and internal controls
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) preferred
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards is an advantage
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
