We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer with strong IT and technical legal expertise to join our team. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support across multiple projects and departments within the company, with a particular focus on technology-driven operations in the government sector. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations while navigating the complex intersection of corporate, IT, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities:

Corporate Legal Support

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents with clients, vendors, and partners.
• Advising management and project teams on corporate governance, risk management, and compliance matters.
• Ensuring adherence to local and international regulations applicable to IT and project-based activities.

Employment & Labor Law

• Providing legal support regarding labor law compliance, employee relations, workplace policies, and HR practices.
• Reviewing employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, and internal policies.
• Advising on dispute resolution, disciplinary cases, and termination procedures.

Project-Based Legal Support

• Assisting project managers with legal due diligence for new initiatives and client contracts.
• Monitoring project agreements to mitigate risks and ensure contract compliance.
• Supporting intellectual property matters, licensing, and data protection requirements.

General Counsel Role

• Acting as the first point of contact for all companywide legal queries.
• Liaising with external legal advisors when necessary.
• Preparing legal reports and providing clear guidance to management.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a corporate lawyer in IT, technology, or project-based companies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law 
• Admission to the Bar (licensed to practice law).
• Strong background in labor law, employment regulations, and corporate legal matters.
• Experience with contract drafting/negotiation and dispute resolution.
• Solid knowledge of corporate, commercial, labor, and intellectual property law.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to support multiple projects simultaneously.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Fluency in Azerbaijan and English languages.
