Responsibilities
- Managing the Operation, MEP maintenance, cleaning and security department.
- Conducting regular needs assessments to ascertain potential issues with the building and surrounds.
- Managing short-term and long-term budgets.
- Organize the services of professionals such as MEP technicians, cleaners and gardeners, as required.
- Scheduling the cleaning and maintenance of amenities and grounds.
- Implementing security measures within and outside of the facility.
- Ensuring that tenants observe building regulations.
- Resolving tenants' concerns and responding to their queries.
- Approves selection of staff; trains staff and provides for their professional development; administers discipline as required.
- Develops and implements long and short-range goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the department(s); prepares and administers the department(s) budget.
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers.
- To direct the running of our facilities and create a safe and efficient work environment that improves business performance and optimizes staff productivity.
- Working with architects and designers to design new projects or make changes to existing structures.
- Managing the company’s inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment such as computers, tools, and machinery.
- Meeting with contractors, architects, engineers, and other professionals to discuss project details and timelines.
- Developing emergency response plans.
Requirements and skills
- BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
- 5+ years experience in this or similar position
- Exceptional communication and writing skills
- Good analytical/critical thinking
