Job Summary:

A company based in Baku, operating in financial markets, is seeking an Internal Audit Specialist with expertise in auditing, compliance, and risk management. The role is instrumental in ensuring the company's operations adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, familiarity with audit methodologies, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. Professional certifications such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or ACCA are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute internal audits across various departments.
• Update the company's risk register, ensuring all identified risks are monitored and mitigated effectively.
• Prepare audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Participate in the development and improvement of internal audit processes and tools.
• Identify potential fraud risks and recommend measures to prevent and detect fraudulent activities.
• Assist in external audit coordination, providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in internal or external audit, risk management, or compliance.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, or CPA are highly desirable.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify root causes of issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• A person who is patient, responsible, curious, cooperative with analytical thinking capacity will be a perfect match for the position. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Azerbaijani.
