We are seeking an experienced Material follow up department manager to oversee supply chain operations, inventory control, and procurement processes. The ideal candidate has strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset. This role is crucial in ensuring a continuous and optimized flow of materials to support our operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department managers to assess material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
- Oversee purchasing of supplies and materials in alignment with specifications and cost-effectiveness.
- Supervise receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes to maintain a seamless supply chain.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring availability while minimizing excess stock and costs.
- Address material shortages, overstocking, or discrepancies, implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and enforce material scheduling strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze data to improve ordering, inventory, and replenishment strategies.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and ensuring reliable supply sources.
- Lead and mentor a team, providing training and performance evaluations.
- Support new vehicle project launches by ensuring materials are planned and available as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in supply chain, inventory management, and procurement (preferably in manufacturing or automotive industries).
- Proficiency in materials planning systems, including:
- MPL & BOM management (Master Part List & Bill of Materials for vehicle production).
- ECR/ECN & BP management (Engineering Change Request/Notification & Break Point tracking).
- MGO management (Material Global Optimization).
- CKD parts ordering & delivery coordination (using EDI systems).
- Inventory oversight (shop floor, warehouse, and container yard).
- Indirect materials procurement and tracking.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess volume requirements and planning assumptions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal teams.
- Fluency in English and Russian is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
