Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of project delivery.
- Supervise engineering division ensuring project completion within budget and schedule constaraints.
- Liase with other departments and stakeholders to achieve project objectives effectively and efficiently.
- Managing and supervising the Engineering Division.
- Overseeing all Engineering and construction activities. Ensuring Engineering designs and construction activities comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Coordinating with the Procurement Specialist for timely acquisition of materials and services.
- Coordinating with other departments (Business Development, Finance, Asset Management, Legal, etc.) for project alignment.
- Identifying project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies. Conducting regular risk assessments and updating risk Management plans.
- Overseeing project delivery, Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop (or review, if prepared by contractor) detailed workflow charts and diagrams, and project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Occasionally visiting project sites to oversee on-ground activities.
- Managing changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques. Negotiating with stakeholders on change requests and project adjustments.
- Liaising with project stakeholders, contractors, and equipment/service suppliers.
- Reviewing and Managing contracts with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensuring contractual conditions and deadlines are met.
- Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, contracts, and change orders.
- Documenting lessons learned and best practices for future project improvement.
- Preparing and presenting regular project updates and project reports to the stakeholders and senior Management
- Executing the assigned activities in accordance with the scope of work, schedule, and cost requirements.
- Acting in compliance with the applicable project specifications, codes, and standards, and Health and Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements
Requirements:
- University Degree (Bacherlos or Masters) in Engineering
- MBA degree (not required but welcomed).
- Minimum 7 years experience in industrial EPC projects.
- Project Management of industrial EPC projects
- Acquaintance with the Project Management Software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Acquaintance with the CAD software for understanding engineering designs (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Experience in working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams and Contractors.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of the specific industry standards and regulations.
- English, Azerbaijan, Russian (not required but welcomed)
- Professional certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 (not required, but welcomed)
