About the Role:

We are looking for a creative and results-driven Social Media Account Manager to join an International News Channel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the channel’s social media presence across various platforms, driving audience engagement, increasing visibility, and ensuring the brand's tone and values are consistently represented online.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to promote news content and increase engagement.
• Create, schedule, and publish content on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Telegram.
• Monitor performance metrics and analyze user engagement to refine strategy and improve reach.
• Work closely with the editorial team to amplify breaking news, features, and video content in real time.
• Develop campaigns to support special programming, live events, and major news coverage.
• Manage social media advertising budgets and coordinate with the marketing team for promotions.
• Engage with followers, respond to inquiries/comments, and build relationships with the online community.
• Stay updated on current social media trends, tools, and best practices.
• Generate monthly analytics reports and provide strategic recommendations.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in a media or news environment.
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, etc.).
• Strong understanding of audience development and content marketing strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with breaking news scenarios.
• Creative thinking with a passion for digital storytelling and current events.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
