Job Description
- The Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of ICT infrastructure activities related to network deployment, structured cabling, and cybersecurity readiness for the WUF13 major international event.
- The role requires close coordination between technical teams, vendors, stakeholders, and venue authorities under tight timelines, rapidly changing requirements, and high operational pressure.
- The Project Coordinator will act as an operational link between engineering teams and project management, ensuring tasks are tracked, dependencies are managed, and risks are escalated promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities related to network, cabling, and security implementation across venues;
- Track task progress against the event master schedule and report deviations;
- Support change management by documenting scope changes and operational impacts;
- Coordinate site access, permits, and work windows with venue and security teams;
- Maintain project documentation, checklists, and readiness reports;
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, vendors, and the Project Manager;
- Assist in risk tracking and issue resolution under compressed timelines;
- Support pre-event readiness checks, rehearsals, and live-event support activities;
- Participate in daily briefings and post-activity reporting.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field;
- 2–6 years of experience in ICT infrastructure or technical project coordination;
- Experience in event-based, mission-critical, or fast-track projects is highly preferred;
- PMP certified candidates are preferred.
Technical Knowledge
Basic understanding of:
- Network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi)
- Structured cabling systems (copper, fiber)
Ability to understand technical drawings, layouts, and installation plans.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills;
- Ability to operate effectively under pressure and changing priorities;
- Ability to create documents from scratch or templates;
- Clear written and verbal communication skills;
- High attention to detail and documentation discipline;
- Proactive problem-solving mindset.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends (especially during event phases);
- Fluent in English, Azerbaijani (Russian is an advantage);
- High level of responsibility, confidentiality, and reliability.
