Responsibilities
- Server infrastructure management: Ensure the stable, uninterrupted, and secure operation of physical and virtual servers (Windows Server and Linux).
- Active Directory and domain infrastructure: Manage AD DS, GPO, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, SCCM, IIS, and FSMO roles. Implement and audit security policies based on CIS Benchmarks.
- File servers: Manage shared resources, as well as NTFS and share permissions.
- Virtualization: Administer the VMware vSphere environment (vCenter, ESXi) and ensure the proper operation of HA and DRS. Manage servers hosted with local cloud providers through the VMware Cloud Director (vCloud) interface.
- Linux server administration: Install and configure Ubuntu, Debian, and Red Hat servers. Manage firewall rules (iptables, firewalld, UFW). Extend and shrink disk capacity (at the LVM, partition, and file system levels).
- Backup and disaster recovery: Implement the backup strategy using Veeam Backup & Replication and Acronis True Image, perform regular restore tests, and keep disaster recovery plans up to date.
- IP telephony: Administer the 3CX system (extensions, trunks, IVR, call routing rules).
- Infrastructure changes: Plan and safely implement changes to the existing infrastructure, including rollback plans.
- Automation and optimization: Automate repetitive administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripts.
- Documentation and inventory: Keep server infrastructure diagrams, system roles, and IT asset records (Jira ITSM) continuously up to date.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience as a System Administrator, including hands-on experience with on-premise and local cloud servers.
- Operating systems: In-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2022/2025 and Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat/CentOS).
- Domain services: In-depth knowledge of Active Directory (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, SCCM, IIS, Failover Clustering) and Group Policy.
- Linux: Installation, user and permission management, firewall rules, disk management with LVM, and service management (systemd).
- Virtualization: Experience with VMware vCenter, ESXi, HA, DRS, vMotion, and vCloud Director; knowledge of Proxmox VE is a plus.
- Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP protocols, setting up LAN/Wi-Fi networks, and basic configuration of switches and routers.
- Backup and monitoring: Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, Acronis True Image, Zabbix, Uptime Kuma, and syslog platforms.
- IP telephony: Experience with 3CX.
- Security: Knowledge of the principle of least privilege, password and MFA policies, patch management, server hardening, and event log analysis.
- Scripting: Ability to automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
Preferred Qualifications
- RHCSA, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware vSphere Foundation 9.0 Administrator (VCP-VVF Admin), or VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Administrator (VCP-VCF Admin) certifications.
- English proficiency sufficient to read technical documentation.
