• Deloitte is seeking a high potential Senior Compliance Specialist candidate for client acceptance (KYC procedures), third-party acceptance, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Corruption and Trade Controls with the following qualifications based in Baku: 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Law, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Compliance, AML/CFT, KYC, client acceptance, or related areas.
• Good knowledge of AML/CFT requirements and customer due diligence principles.
• Experience in Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Corruption, and sanctions screening is an advantage.
• Experience in reviewing or supervising compliance/KYC processes is an advantage.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office programs, mainly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken Azerbaijani and English.
• Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to the priorities of the team and the business.
• Strong commitment to continuous learning and development.
• Ability to timely manage multitasking requests.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Performing and overseeing background checks and “Know Your Client” procedures on potential clients and third-party entities.
• Ensuring timely and consistent responses.
• Effectively using global client acceptance tools and systems for client acceptance procedures.
• Ensuring relevant data is properly maintained, documented, timely archived, and deleted in accordance with Deloitte’s global and local policies and local regulations.
• Consulting with the team leader regarding specific risk and “Know Your Client” matters and timely escalating potential risks.
• Ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Corruption, and Trade Controls programs and timely escalating potential risks.
• Closely collaborating with the Internal Legal Department and providing support in compliance with: (i) the Republic of Azerbaijan Law No. 781-VIQ dated 30.12.2022 on “Combating Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing” (“AML/CFT Law”); (ii) normative acts, methodological guidelines, and recommendations of relevant executive authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan; and (iii) the Employer’s AML/CFT internal rules, including, but not limited to, ensuring adherence to relevant normative acts, the Employer’s AML/CFT policies, procedures, and control mechanisms.
• Participating in training sessions and seminars conducted by the company to enhance compliance awareness and support the company’s resilience against potential AML/CFT risks and regulatory requirements.
• Organizing regular training for employees on AML/CFT activities.
