Job responsibilities:
- Make contacts with suppliers and clarify technical specifications.
- Reviews planned orders, creates requisitions for purchased items and manages approval process.
- Transmits and prioritizes approved purchase orders and supporting documents to the supplier.
- Tracks order acknowledgment, prepares and communicates shortage and backlog reports, and provides visibility of potential interruptions to internal customers.
- Tracks orders and confirms system lead times, delivery dates, and costs.
- Reviews, updates, and maintains purchase orders until they are closed.
- Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies.
- Contributes to consolidating, reducing, and rationalizing supplier base.
- Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders.
Required Background, Skills and Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in, Business Administration and other related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role. (Energy sector is preferable)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in Azeri, English, and Russian languages.
- Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions.
- Practical knowledge of Supply chain management
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
