Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Implementation: Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons based on Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, or IGCSE/A-Level stages.
• Conceptual Understanding: Focus on developing students' mental strategies and deep understanding of mathematical concepts rather than rote memorization.
• Assessment & Tracking: Conduct regular assessments aligned with Cambridge Checkpoint or IGCSE standards and provide constructive feedback.
• ICT Integration: Utilize digital tools and mathematical software (e.g., Geogebra, MyMaths, or interactive whiteboards) to enhance learning.
• Interdisciplinary Approach: Collaborate with Science and ICT departments to demonstrate the real-world application of mathematics.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related STEM field.
• Certification: Valid teaching license or professional certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Experience: Proven experience in a Cambridge International School or a school using international standards (IB/Common Core).
• Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English (Strong communication skills to explain complex abstract concepts clearly). Native or near-native English proficiency (Minimum C1/C2 level or IELTS 7.0+).
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with the Cambridge Teacher Support Service and digital assessment platforms.

Specific Pedagogical Skills

• Ability to teach Thinking and Working Mathematically (TWM) skills as per the latest Cambridge framework.
• Experience in differentiating instruction for students with varying mathematical abilities.
• Strong classroom management and a passion for making Mathematics "fun" and accessible.
