Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute high-quality Physics lessons in alignment with Cambridge IGCSE (0625) and AS & A-Level (9702) standards.
• Practical & Laboratory Work: Lead rigorous laboratory sessions, focusing on accurate measurement, data collection, and the calculation of uncertainties.
• Mathematical Application: Support students in applying advanced mathematical concepts (calculus, trigonometry, and algebra) to solve complex physical problems.
• Exam Preparation: Expertly guide students through Paper 4 (Extended Theory) and Paper 5/6 (Practical components), focusing on Cambridge command words and marking schemes.
• STEM Integration: Promote interest in engineering and technology by linking physics concepts to modern-day innovations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physics, Engineering, or Physics Education.
• Certification: Teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent international educator's license.
• Experience: Proven track record of teaching Cambridge Physics at the secondary or high school level (A-Level experience is highly preferred).
• Language Proficiency: Near-native English proficiency, with the ability to explain abstract physical laws and mathematical derivations clearly. Native or near-native English proficiency (Minimum C1/C2 level or IELTS 7.0+).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using laboratory interfaces (e.g., Vernier/Pasco sensors), simulators (e.g., PHeT), and data analysis software.

Core Pedagogical Competencies

• Deep understanding of Thinking and Working Mathematically within a scientific context.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for gifted students and those needing extra support in mathematical foundations.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and highly organized physics laboratory.
