A large industrial company is seeking an experienced Chief Analyst to provide high-level analytical support to senior management and the CFO business line. The role focuses on financial analysis, debt portfolio monitoring, banking relations, IFRS coordination, and strategic finance support. This is a senior-level analytical position within the Finance Division.
About the role:
- Location: Baku
- Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis and monitoring of the company’s financial position, industry peers, and financial & banking markets
- Preparation of analytical materials, management reports and presentations
- Regular reporting on debt and financial instruments
- Participation in financing strategy development
- Support in execution of financial deals (debt finance, project finance, hedging, insurance)
- Coordination of information flow with financial institutions and external auditors
- Preparation of budgeting parameters and debt portfolio data for corporate budgeting
- Managing analytical materials and financial reporting tools
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- CFA / FRM (completed or in progress) – strong advantage
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in:
- Banking
- Audit
- Consulting
- Large industrial or financial groups
Strong expertise in:
- Financial analysis & modelling
- Corporate finance
- IFRS
- Understanding of macroeconomic and industry trends
- Strong analytical & presentation skills
- Ability to work under time pressure
Technical Skills:
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Financial reporting systems knowledge
Languages:
- English – Upper-Intermediate or higher
- Azerbaijani or Russian – advantage
