On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Cluster CFO – Projects

A leading international energy and infrastructure group operating in Azerbaijan is seeking an experienced Cluster CFO to lead and oversee the finance function across multiple large-scale project companies.

This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for project finance, financial performance, stakeholder management, and strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Finance function across multiple project companies
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring
• Manage project finance structures, funding, treasury, and lender relationships
• Ensure compliance with contractual, statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Act as a key financial partner to senior management and shareholders
• Manage relationships with banks, lenders, offtakers, auditors, and regulators
• Identify financial and commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Oversee Board, shareholder, and management reporting
• Build, lead, and develop finance teams across projects
• Support refinancing, divestment, and business expansion initiatives

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant / CPA or MBA in Finance
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Finance within multinational or project-based environments
• At least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role (CFO / Finance Director / Project Finance Lead)
• Strong background in project finance and construction-phase projects
• Proven experience working with lenders and complex stakeholder environments
• High commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, power, or industrial projects is an advantage
• Willingness to travel as required
