On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager (HBI / DRI Projects)

A leading industrial company is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and manage multi-disciplinary engineering activities for a large-scale heavy industrial project, with a strong focus on HBI / DRI ironmaking facilities.

This is a senior leadership role for a highly experienced engineering professional with deep technical expertise and full project lifecycle understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams (process, mechanical, civil, electrical, I&C)
• Take full ownership of engineering design across all phases (Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering)
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all engineering deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, specifications, MTOs)
• Act as the main technical interface with licensors, vendors, and project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements
• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and start-up

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical or similar)
• Minimum 15 years of experience in heavy industrial / metals / EPC(EPCM) projects
• Direct hands-on experience with DRI / HBI technologies (Tenova HYL, Midrex) is mandatory
• At least 5 years in a senior or managerial engineering role
• Strong leadership and coordination skills
• Fluent English (Azerbaijani or Russian is an advantage)
