On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Head of Legal.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide full legal support for the company’s operations
- Review and approve contracts, decisions, orders, and internal documents
- Ensure compliance with Azerbaijani legislation and internal policies
- Advise management on corporate, commercial, labor, civil, and administrative law
- Review service, supply, subcontract, and EPC contracts
- Participate in negotiations with public and private entities
- Represent the company before courts and state authorities
- Draft and review internal regulations, policies, and procedures
- Monitor legal compliance across all departments
- Identify legal risks and recommend preventive measures
- Lead and supervise the legal team
- Perform corporate secretary duties for the Board and Shareholders’ Meetings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LL.M is an advantage)
- 7–10+ years of professional legal experience, including managerial roles
- Strong background in corporate and commercial law, EPC projects
- Deep knowledge of Azerbaijani legislation and international contract standards
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Fluency in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian
