Work Location: Offshore Operation Vessel
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repair, installation and replacement works on vessel HVAC systems safely and efficiently.
- Install, remove and replace HVAC system components using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Read and interpret HVAC layout drawings and electrical diagrams.
- Perform maintenance of fire flaps in HVAC ducts and related actuation systems.
- Carry out hot and cold works and brazing activities where required.
- Support the engine room department when required.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions.
- Participate in Toolbox Talks and JSA activities.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and full compliance with HSE/HSEQ requirements.
- Report to the 2nd Engineer.
Requirements
- Technical education.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HVAC role on a construction vessel within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
- Ability to read HVAC electrical diagrams and layout drawings.
- Knowledge of welding-related activities, materials and relevant procedures.
- Practical knowledge of Hot and Cold Works and metal brazing techniques.
- Knowledge of safe storage and handling of compressed and flammable gases.
- Knowledge of HVAC duct fire flaps and associated actuation systems.
- Good English and fluent Azerbaijani.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
