A large industrial project in Azerbaijan is seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to lead the structural engineering scope for a major HBI / DRI facility.

Job Purpose:
To take full responsibility for structural design activities, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with international standards, and effective leadership of the structural engineering team throughout all project phases — from detailed design to construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as technical authority for all structural engineering aspects of the project
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of structural engineers and designers
- Review and approve structural designs for industrial buildings, equipment support structures, pipe racks, and foundations
- Perform and supervise advanced structural analysis (seismic, dynamic, wind, heavy equipment loads)
- Ensure compliance with international standards and codes (AISC, ACI, ASCE, Eurocodes)
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, and Process disciplines
- Control preparation and approval of all structural deliverables (calculations, drawings, MTOs)
- Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning phases
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Minimum 7–14 years of experience in structural engineering within heavy industrial or EPC/EPCM projects
- Mandatory experience in minerals, metals, DRI / HBI, or similar high-temperature industrial facilities
- Strong proficiency in SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS or similar software
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Good command of English (Azerbaijani, Russian, or Mandarin is an advantage)
