Salary: 5,000 – 7,000 AZN (net)
Job Summary:
- An international technology group specializing in AI-powered solutions for the energy and utilities sector is seeking a Legal and Compliance Lead to join its growing team in Baku. The role is responsible for providing legal counsel, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to management and business units
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including data protection and cybersecurity
- Manage relationships with external legal partners and handle litigation matters
- Conduct internal audits and compliance assessments
- Maintain corporate governance standards
- Liaise with government and regulatory authorities
- Lead and develop the legal and compliance team
Requirements:
- Degree in Law (Master’s or certification preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Fluency in Azerbaijani and English (Russian is an advantage)
