A large industrial project is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support process engineering activities for an HBI / DRI production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and improve HBI production processes including reduction, briquetting, and cooling stages
- Monitor process parameters and equipment performance
- Support process design and process optimization activities
- Develop and verify mass and energy balances
- Conduct metallurgical analysis and testing
- Participate in equipment selection and technical evaluation
- Ensure product quality and operational efficiency
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in ironmaking, steelmaking, HBI or DRI production
- Strong knowledge of reduction reactions, thermodynamics, and briquetting technologies
- Familiarity with MIDREX, HYL, or similar DRI technologies is highly preferred
- Experience with metallurgical laboratory techniques and analytical tools
- Experience with process simulation packages and MS Office
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- English and/or Russian language skills required
