On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Project Risk Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the risk management process for renewable energy projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all risks are properly identified, assessed, and managed.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, environmental, and legal teams to align on risk management and ensure risks are effectively addressed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan and monitor risk mitigation strategies, ensuring that actions are measurable and aligned with project objectives.
- Foster a strong risk management culture within project teams and supporting functions.
- Develop and maintain risk registers and prepare periodic risk reports for senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of all risk management activities and regularly update stakeholders on risk status and mitigation progress.
- Work with environmental teams to identify and manage environmental risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and support project sustainability.
- Review project related documents, agreements and organizational policy&procedures as per risk management requirements and provide feedback.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and coordinated risk management across all project areas.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Business Administration or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification in Risk Management is preferred.
- PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), and Risk Management certificates (ISO31000 LI, CRMP, etc.) are highly preferred.
- Experience in risk management tools is desirable
- At least 5 years of experience in risk management. Demonstrated experience managing risks across project phases from design to operations.
- Understanding of renewable energy technologies and their associated risks.
- Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory, technical and environmental risks.
- Strong ability to analyze complex risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions before risks escalate into critical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, detailed reports and presentations for senior management and project stakeholders.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Project, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail, ensuring effective management of all risks throughout the project lifecycle.
