On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Technical Translator (Chinese / English / Russian)

An international industrial project is seeking a highly qualified Technical Translator to support engineering and metallurgical projects, ensuring accurate written and verbal communication across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate highly technical documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, engineering drawings, equipment specifications, vendor manuals, contracts, and technical reports between Chinese, English, and Russian
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of specialized terminology related to engineering, DRI, and HBI processes
- Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation during project meetings, technical reviews, workshops, and discussions
- Support on-site translation during construction, commissioning, startup, and training activities
- Develop and maintain technical glossaries to ensure consistency across all translated materials
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and construction teams
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all project documentation and communications
- Prioritize translation tasks according to project deadlines and criticality
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a relevant Engineering discipline (technical background is a strong advantage)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Translator within heavy industry, oil & gas, or metallurgical projects
- Fluent Chinese (Mandarin), English, and Russian — written and spoken
- Proven experience in both written translation and verbal interpretation
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles and industrial processes
- Mandatory familiarity with DRI / HBI terminology and equipment
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure
- Experience with CAT tools is an advantage
