Job responsibilities

• Support the Senior Legal Counsel with education licensing, regulatory and compliance matters;
• Assist with preparing applications, submissions and supporting documents for governmental and regulatory authorities;
• Conduct legal research on education, employment, commercial and other relevant legislation;
• Maintain trackers for licenses, permits, contracts, approvals, deadlines and regulatory requirements;
• Assist with school policies, notices, consent forms and other operational documentation;
• Support legal matters relating to admissions, tuition fees, refunds, student and parent issues;
• Assist with drafting and reviewing standard commercial, procurement, IT, marketing and other operational agreements;
• Support employment and HR-related documentation and legal research;
• Prepare drafts of routine corporate documents, resolutions and powers of attorney;
• Coordinate signatures, filings, notarizations and other legal formalities;
• Maintain organized legal and corporate records and support KYC and due diligence processes;
• Follow up on outstanding legal and regulatory matters and ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university;
• 1–2 years of relevant legal experience; strong graduates with relevant internships may also be considered;
• Experience in an in-house legal team, law firm, educational institution or regulated business is an advantage;
• Basic knowledge of corporate, commercial and employment law; knowledge of education regulation and licensing is a strong advantage;
• Strong legal research, analytical and drafting skills;
• Excellent command of Azerbaijani and English; Russian is an advantage;
• Good command of Microsoft Office and legal documentation;
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
• Proactive, responsible and willing to learn;
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
