LV Logistics is seeking an experienced Customs Declarant to join our team in Azerbaijan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and prepare customs clearance documentation, including contracts, invoices, packing lists, licenses, certificates, and other supporting documents, ensuring completeness and compliance with customs requirements.
  • Declare goods and means of transport in accordance with the Customs Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
  • Submit customs declarations electronically, including brief import declarations, and approve them using an electronic signature.
  • Prepare preliminary calculations of customs-related charges, including customs duties, VAT, excise taxes, operational fees, electronic service fees, and other applicable payments.
  • Submit documents and information required for customs purposes to customs authorities.
  • Ensure the delivery of goods and transport means upon request of customs authorities.
  • Verify the validity, accuracy, and completeness of all documents submitted for customs clearance.
  • Review and verify permits, licenses, certificates, and other authorizations required for goods subject to import, export, or transit restrictions.
  • Classify goods in accordance with the Foreign Trade Commodity Nomenclature of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the company’s systems and databases.

Requirements:

  • Qualification Certificate of Customs Clearance Specialist of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
  • Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures for import, export, re-import, international transit, temporary import, and other customs regimes.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Customs legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
  • Strong understanding of Incoterms and their practical application in international trade.
  • Knowledge of the Foreign Trade Commodity Nomenclature (HS Classification) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
  • Knowledge of customs valuation principles, including the correct calculation of customs value and statistical value.
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements related to oil and gas materials and Production Sharing Agreements (PSAs).
  • Ability to accurately classify goods in accordance with the Foreign Trade Commodity Nomenclature.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic customs declaration systems and related customs software.
