LV Logistics is seeking a HSQE Junior Coordinator to join our team in Azerbaijan.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day HSQE activities across warehouses, yards and transport operations in line with the company’s integrated ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system.
- Conduct routine warehouse, yard and worksite inspections and follow up corrective actions to closure.
- Carry out truck, trailer and load-securing inspections prior to dispatch in accordance with company requirements, client standards and applicable legislation.
- Prepare and review risk assessments and job safety analyses for transport, lifting, loading/unloading together with the Operations team.
- Coordinate incident and near-miss reporting, support investigations and root cause analysis, and track corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver HSE inductions and take part on toolbox talks to staff, drivers and subcontractors; maintain training records.
- Coordinate the vendor/subcontractor (haulier, crane and warehouse provider) evaluation and approval process and periodic performance reviews.
- Compile monthly HSQE KPIs and statistics and support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and PPE, first aid and spill kit checks.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, Logistics, Engineering or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in an HSQE, HSE or Quality role, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, road transport or oil & gas.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; internal auditor training is an advantage/preferable.
- Local HSE certification issued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) and, preferably, IOSH Managing Safely certification would be considered an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of risk assessment, JSA (Job Safety Analyses), incident investigation, root cause analysis and CAPA processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to deliver toolbox talks and work with operations staff, drivers and subcontractors.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills with attention to detail; good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and SharePoint.
- Fluency in Azerbaijani and English is required; Russian is an advantage.
