Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management and maintenance of MS SQL Server databases.
- Write and optimize queries, stored procedures, and triggers under the guidance of senior developers.
- Support the monitoring of database performance and perform routine database tuning.
- Assist in ensuring data integrity, backups, and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with the IT team and business units to understand requirements and assist in developing database solutions.
- Support in performing database migrations, upgrades, and regular maintenance.
- Help troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server, including writing T-SQL queries and basic database design.
- Basic knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization (PTO).
- Understanding of database backup and recovery processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in database administration and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server
- Reporting Services (SSRS), or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Basic knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing.
