Job description:
- Perform audit procedures such as vouching, tracing, and analytical reviews on financial statement line items.
- Check supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare clear and well-documented audit working papers.
- Assist in obtaining third-party confirmations (banks, customers, suppliers, etc.).
- Perform physical inventory counts and fixed asset verifications.
- Identify and flag potential audit issues to seniors for further investigation.
- Ensure tasks are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Maintain client confidentiality and demonstrate professional integrity.
- Stay updated on audit methodologies and applicable accounting standards.
Education and Skills required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure during peak periods.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to pursue professional certifications (ACCA) is a plus.
- Fluency in Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages
Personal qualities:
- Familiarity with audit software or accounting systems.
- Internship or previous experience in auditing or accounting is an advantage.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
