Work Place: Office + Base Yard
Key Responsibilities:
- Review customer RFQs, hose registers, specifications and drawings to determine technical and commercial requirements.
- Select suitable hoses, fittings, adaptors and accessories based on pressure, temperature, media, size, connection type and applicable standards.
- Prepare technically compliant and commercially accurate quotations, proposals, Bills of Materials and cost estimates.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on technical compliance, price, delivery time, certification and product quality.
- Coordinate material procurement and ensure the timely availability of hoses, fittings and other HIM-related components.
- Review customer purchase orders to confirm that the scope, specifications, prices, quantities and delivery terms match the approved quotation.
- Coordinate with workshop and operations teams regarding hose fabrication, inspection, pressure testing, certification, tagging and delivery.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate records of materials, supplier prices, lead times and product availability.
- Maintain full material traceability and ensure that manufacturer certificates, test reports and other required documents are available.
- Provide customers with technical advice, clarify requirements and recommend appropriate HIM products and service solutions.
- Follow up quotations, support commercial negotiations and manage orders from initial enquiry through procurement, delivery and invoicing.
- Resolve technical queries, supplier issues, delivery delays, nonconformities and customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, QHSE requirements, customer specifications and applicable industry standards.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hydraulic hoses, industrial equipment, technical procurement or technical sales.
- Practical knowledge of Hose Integrity Management, hose fabrication, inspection and pressure-testing processes is preferred.
- Experience in the oil and gas, marine, drilling or industrial maintenance sector is an advantage.
Technical Knowledge
- Good knowledge of hydraulic and industrial hoses, fittings, adaptors, couplings and connection types.
- Ability to select hoses based on working pressure, temperature, media, size, bend radius and environmental conditions.
- Understanding of BSP, NPT, JIC, ORFS, SAE flange, metric and other common end connections.
- Ability to read technical datasheets, drawings, hose registers, equipment manuals and customer specifications.
- Basic understanding of hose assembly, inspection, testing, tagging, certification and material traceability.
- Knowledge of relevant hose and pressure-testing standards is preferred.
- Ability to prepare quotations, Bills of Materials, cost calculations and technical compliance statements.
- Understanding of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, lead times, Incoterms and stock control.
