Radio Systems Design Engineer (Transceivers, Radio Communications)
Location: Baku, Azerbaijan
Working days: Monday to Friday
Working hours: 09:00–18:00 (break: 13:00–14:00)
We are looking for an engineer to design, test and operate radio systems: transceiver devices, radio communication and data transmission systems. The specialist will handle the full cycle of creating and debugging radio equipment — from circuit design to testing of finished products.
Responsibilities
• Developing circuit design solutions for transceiver devices (receivers, transmitters, transceiver modules);
• Designing and calculating units of radio communication and data transmission systems (antenna-feeder paths, microwave units, intermediate frequency paths);
• Developing and preparing design documentation (schematic diagrams, specifications) in accordance with ESKD (Unified System for Design Documentation);
• Prototyping, breadboarding and tuning of radio equipment prototypes;
• Conducting bench and field tests, measuring key signal characteristics (sensitivity, power, bandwidth, interference immunity);
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting radio units and modules;
• Technical support of serial production and designer's supervision;
• Participating in the development of technical specifications and agreeing them with the customer.
Requirements
• Higher technical education in "Radio Engineering", "Radio Electronic Systems", "Info communication Technologies and Communication Systems" or a related field;
• Experience in designing and/or operating transceiver devices and radio communication systems;
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of microwave and RF path circuit design;
• Ability to read schematic and wiring diagrams;
• Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter);
• Understanding of the principles of modulation, radio wave propagation and electromagnetic compatibility;
• Ability to work with technical documentation and prepare design documentation according to ESKD.
Nice to have
• Experience with CAD tools for microwave circuit and PCB design (Altium Designer, AWR/Microwave Office, ADS);
• Experience participating in the development of radar or satellite communication equipment;
• English sufficient for reading technical documentation;
• Experience obtaining electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) certificates and radio frequency spectrum usage permits.
