The HR Specialist is responsible for day-to-day HR operations and employee administration within a workshop-based oil & gas environment. The role supports employees and line managers throughout the employment lifecycle and ensures HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company procedures and local labor legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations and employee administration for workshop and office employees.
  • Prepare employment contracts, amendments, transfer, promotion, salary change, and termination documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, HR systems, and related databases.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including collection and preparation of required documentation.
  • Maintain attendance, timesheets, shift schedules, overtime, absence, annual leave, and sick leave records.
  • Provide accurate monthly HR inputs to Payroll, including attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions, new joiners, and leavers.
  • Support workforce mobilization and demobilization activities for workshop and project personnel.
  • Coordinate medical examinations, mandatory training, certificates, and other employment-related requirements.
  • Monitor probation periods, contract expiry dates, leave balances, and other HR deadlines.
  • Prepare HR letters, certificates, references, reports, and employee-related documentation.
  • Support implementation of HR policies, procedures, disciplinary processes, and employee relations activities.
  • Respond to employees' HR-related questions and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with Workshop Management, HSE, Payroll, Finance, Recruitment, and other departments.
  • Prepare regular HR reports on headcount, turnover, attendance, overtime, leave, and other HR metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor legislation and internal company requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR Operations / Personnel Administration, preferably within oil & gas, engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, construction or workshop environments.
  • Good knowledge of local labor legislation and HR administration processes.
  • Experience working with timesheets, shifts, overtime, payroll inputs, and blue-collar/workshop employees is preferred.
  • Good MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with HRIS/ERP systems would be an advantage.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with a high volume of employee documentation and meet deadlines.
  • Azerbaijani – fluent; English – good working knowledge; Russian would be an advantage.

Salary budget: 1,000 – 1,200 AZN Net
