Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the architectural design process for hotel, residential, and F&B development projects, from concept to detailed design stages.
- Review of Design Documentation: Oversee and review design documentation during the Design Development Phase to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Review of Shop Drawings: Review and evaluate shop drawings submitted by contractors to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Review of Material Samples: Assess and approve material samples provided by contractors, ensuring they adhere to the design intent and project specifications.
- Preparation of Presentations: Develop and prepare presentations for design changes, highlighting the impacts of these decisions on project scope, budget, and schedule.
- Attending Design Meetings: Actively participate in design meetings, provide support to the project team, and contributing to discussions to resolve design issues and enhance project outcomes.
- Responding to RFIs: Address and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) received from consultants and contractors, providing clear and timely clarifications to facilitate project progress.
- Prepare, review, and approve design documentation including concept designs, masterplans, layouts, and presentation materials.
- Review of BOQs and Specifications: Examine Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and specifications received from designers to ensure accuracy and completeness, and provide feedback as needed.
- Meetings with Design Consultants: Attend and contribute to meetings with design consultants, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to address design challenges and align on project deliverables.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as development, leasing, and construction teams to ensure designs meet operational, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure design compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
Desired background:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 7- 8 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio focused on large-scale mixed-use projects
- At least 5 years of experience working in an international project environment, with a strong track record in handling design documentation, RFIs, shop drawings, and material samples.
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentation preparation.
- In-depth knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methods, with the ability to review and interpret design documents, specifications, and BOQs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving design and coordination issues.
