Job responsibilities
- Review and interpret mechanical design drawings, specifications, BOQs, and shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, and mechanical equipment systems.
- Supervise and coordinate all mechanical installation works on site to ensure proper execution in line with approved designs, technical requirements, and project standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines (civil, electrical, architectural, fit out) to ensure technical compatibility and resolve design/site issues.
- Prepare and update work plans, monitor site progress, and support achieving milestones according to the approved project schedule.
- Prepare or review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and ensure timely preparation of as-built documentation.
- Monitor installation works and ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and schedule requirements.
- Support the procurement process by evaluating the technical compliance of mechanical materials and equipment.
- Conduct inspections, supervise testing & commissioning, and support system start-up and handover processes.
- Inspect and verify that delivered mechanical materials and equipment conform to technical and contractual requirements.
- Participate in design coordination meetings and site progress meetings, providing input on technical issues and solutions.
- Report progress, delays, clashes, and technical issues and propose corrective or improvement actions when necessary.
- Prepare and maintain daily logs, progress reports, and other required site documentation for management review.
- Ensure all mechanical works are executed in accordance with HSE requirements and company safety policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in real estate or construction.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Project management skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Team collaboration skills.
