Description
- Lead and supervise mechanical works on site in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule
- Manage execution of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems ensuring quality, safety, and compliance
- Coordinate mechanical works with civil, architectural, electrical, and other MEP disciplines
- Review, comment on, and follow up approved shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
- Actively participate in technical office activities, including shop drawing coordination, technical clarifications, and design coordination with consultants
- Identify design inconsistencies, clashes, or constructability issues and propose technical solutions in coordination with the design team
- Prepare and respond to RFIs, technical queries, and site-related design clarifications
- Support preparation and review of mechanical calculations, layouts, and coordination drawings when required
- Monitor workmanship quality, identify non-conformities, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Support preparation of progress reports, technical reports, and variation-related documentation
- Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, and authority approvals
- Coordinate subcontractors, foremen, and site engineers to ensure timely execution of works
- Support snagging, defect rectification, and handover activities
- Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements and project procedures
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Specific areas of expertise:
- Site execution of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems; Shop drawing review and technical office coordination; Mechanical design coordination and drawing interpretation; Identification and resolution of design and site coordination issues; Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and commissioning processes.
Work experience:
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles; Strong site experience with proven involvement in technical office and design coordination activities.
Language and computer programs knowledge (Microsoft Office):
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office
- Fluent in Azerbaijani; upper intermediate to advanced English is required
