Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lead Accountant to manage our financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, and support our financial planning and analysis activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the retail industry and a passion for accuracy and efficiency. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial documents.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.
• Support variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
• Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
• Manage inventory accounting and perform periodic inventory counts.
• Assist with tax preparation and filing.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial goals and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA FA, FR certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the retail industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (1C) and strong MS Excel and MS Word.
• A working proficiency level in English is required. The Russian language is preferable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
