Position Purpose
As a Therapeutic Area Manager (TAM) for Ophthalmology, you will drive strategic and operational excellence to expand patient access to Roche's innovative therapies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, external stakeholders, and healthcare partners to ensure the successful implementation of therapeutic area strategies, fostering long-term impact on patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Therapeutic Area Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement country-specific strategies for Ophthalmology aligned with global and regional objectives.
- Lead therapeutic area brand planning and medical-scientific activities to address patient and healthcare needs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), patient advocacy groups, healthcare professionals to advance therapeutic awareness and treatment accessibility.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders within the assigned therapeutic areas.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial, to deliver integrated solutions for patients.
- Lead the execution of evidence-based and customer-centric approaches to ensure sustainable impact.
Performance Monitoring & Insights:
- Monitor market trends, patient journey data, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and challenges in therapeutic areas.
- Utilize insights to refine strategies and strengthen Roche’s leadership position in Ophthalmology.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure all activities are conducted in alignment with Roche's values and principles, adhering to local regulations, industry standards, and corporate policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in a therapeutic area or pharmaceutical marketing role, with a strong focus on strategic and operational planning
- Proven expertise in Ophthalmology is a strong advantage
- Fluent in English and a local language

- Digital Literacy: Practical understanding of digital innovation methodologies
