We are looking for a UT (Ultrasonic Test) Inspector!
Location: Sumgait, Absheron-Khizi
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasonic testing to detect internal defects in metal and other materials in accordance with established standards.
- Identify the size, location, and type of defects.
- Record inspection results in protocols or formal inspection reports.
- Set up and calibrate ultrasonic testing equipment; replace probes/sensors when required and ensure the equipment is fully operational.
- Carry out daily ultrasonic inspections in line with the established inspection schedule.
- Ensure timely identification of defective parts to prevent them from moving to the next stage of production.
- Verify compliance with international standards such as ASME, ISO, EN, and/or SNT-TC-1A.
- Comply with safety requirements and professional ethical standards during testing activities.
- Provide regular reports to the direct supervisor on performed inspection activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Vocational or higher technical education (Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanics, Metallurgy, Non-Destructive Testing Technology, or related fields).
- Basic computer skills.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in the metal industry, welding, or CNC manufacturing, with at least 1 year of experience in ultrasonic testing.
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in the metal industry is an advantage.
- Ability to work with ERP systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
