IT Product QA Engineer

Position Overview

Saphire Consulting is looking for an IT Product QA Engineer to champion quality across our software development lifecycle. You will define and execute comprehensive test strategies, work collaboratively within cross-functional Agile teams, and help ensure that our enterprise products meet the highest quality standards before reaching clients.

General Information

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement end-to-end test strategies covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing.
Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Build and maintain automated test suites for both frontend and backend components.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
Identify, document, track, and verify defects through their complete lifecycle.
Lead QA processes in Agile sprints: define DoD, participate in sprint reviews, and sign off on releases.
Conduct root cause analysis on defects and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Establish and monitor quality metrics and KPIs across product lines.

Technical Requirements

Testing Expertise

3+ years of QA engineering experience in software products.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies: black-box, white-box, exploratory, regression, smoke, and UAT.
Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.

Test Automation

Proficiency in at least one automation framework: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or TestNG.
Experience writing automation scripts in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
Knowledge of API testing tools: Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.

Performance & Security Testing

Tools & DevOps

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build workflows.
Proficiency with Git and experience working in DevOps-oriented teams.
Working knowledge of Jira like tools for defect tracking.
Understanding of database testing using SQL queries.

Non-Technical Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Exceptional attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and stakeholder interaction.
Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement attitude.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
